Queen Scene Queens of Kindness

I’m banking on kindness

If there’s something I know about all of you out there in the Queendom of Fife, it’s that you’re kind. Beyond measure.

And I’m banking on that kindness now as I launch my latest charity campaign – because I need your help more than ever before to make it a success!

I want to make a difference to people living in poverty in Fife.

So I went big.

Because I KNOW when we stand together we make change happen. And I want to change lives, simple as that.

I teamed up with national charity Beauty Banks – an empowered community of people, similar to the Queendom, who believe that being clean is a basic human right – not a luxury or privilege.

Beauty Banks exist to support those living in poverty in our communities by providing registered charities – foodbanks, homeless centres, refuges and high schools – with personal care and hygiene products so they can ensure donations get into the hands for those who need them.

So now as well as running the Queendom I’m now Fife’s Beauty Banker. And I’m delighted and ready to go!

What’s happened already?

I’ve already asked my Queens of Business community if they will join me and be donation points – called Public Beauty Spots.

And as usual I was overwhelmed by their support. I will publish a full list of all of them soon I promise so you know where to go to donate!

In just days I’ve already had a HUGE interest from businesses and organisations across Fife!

How can I help?

By donating unused products at one of the Beauty Spots and spreading the word about it on social media, it really is that simple.

What can I donate?

These are the daily essentials that are always needed.

Please ensure all products are new and unused.

Because of health and safety we cannot accept even lightly used products. Kindly consider a balance of male and female products as – on average 70% of homeless people – are men.

  • Shampoo
  • Body wash
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Deodorant
  • Disposable razors
  • Travel sized shampoo and body wash
  • Sanitary pads
  • Men’s grooming products (deo, shampoo etc)
  • Face wash
  • Baby products – nappies, baby shampoo, body wash

Anything else is a welcome bonus!

Where?

A full list of donation points across Fife is available here.

Love, Cara x

  1. I am happy to help plus Linton Lane could be a donation point as we already have the Foodbank based in the centre five days a week. Mandy

      1. This is a fantastic idea and something we at Nourish are already involved in and could possibly help out. Currently we take in donations, put them into packs and hand those packs out to families facing financial crisis. It’s important to mention that all the families we support have children/adults with additional support needs.

  2. Hi fabulous idea and I would be happy to be a drop off point in Inverkeithing at Personalized by Claire and much more 💖
